Detroit Police seek suspect in fatal hit-and-run

(WWJ) Detroit Police are calling for the public’s help to find a suspect in a fatal hit-and-run on the city’s west side.

Police say a man, 61, was crossing the street when a tan colored SUV traveling northbound struck him. The suspect stopped to check on the victim, but then fled the scene west on W. Chicago.

The crash happened around 6:20 p.m. on Thursday, February 11th on the 9,000 block of Greenfield, in the area of Joy Rd.

The victim passed away at the hospital from his injuries.
