HARRISON TWP (WWJ) -- A dive team pulled a car from Lake St. Clair Friday morning and discovered the body of a 72-year-old man from Clinton Twp.
According to the Macomb County Sheriff's Office (MCSO), construction workers at the Macomb County Marine Division noticed what looked like a vehicle submerged up to its roof at around 8:50 a.m.
The car was about 30 feet from shore in front of the Harley Ensign boat launches.
MSCO was notified, and the Dive Team was called in.
Dropping down into Lake St. Clair, the Dive Team examined the car but saw no movement inside.
When the vehicle -- a 2013 Honda Accord -- was pulled from the water, officers discovered a deceased man, identified as David Rudd.
Authorities do not yet know how the Honda ended up in the lake, but witnesses at the scene confirmed that the car had been parked near the boat launches on Thursday.
The investigation is ongoing, but at this time, there are no signs of foul play.
