WARREN, Mich. (WWJ) – Warren police say a Rottweiler will be having a "Happy Howliday" after she was found roaming the streets on Tuesday wearing a festive outfit and reunited with her owner.
A Facebook post from Scanner of Warren made its rounds Tuesday afternoon, saying Warren Animal Control had been requested after reports of a Rottweiler wearing a Christmas outfit and roaming the area.
In the comments, a clip captured the dispatcher saying “caller states that there’s a rottweiler in the area walking around in a Christmas outfit.”
As many users in the comments were asking for proof of this holiday doggo, Warren police delivered with “a picture to prove it happened.”
Police say the dog was safely returned to her owner.
Warren Police are using it as a reminder for residents to make sure they have a license for their dogs.
“The only thing missing from that Christmas outfit is a nice new warren dog license,” police said in the post. “If you’re looking for a last minute gift for your doggies, pop over to City Hall and get them a new dog license for their new collars.”
Dog license applications can be found on the city’s website.
