DETROIT (WWJ) – The search is on for a group of suspects who allegedly set a fire at a Detroit apartment building that injured 11 people earlier this month.

The fire broke out shortly before 4 a.m. on Tuesday, April 7 in the 13500 block of Lasalle Street, near Linwood and the Davison.

Authorities say four suspects pulled up near the building in a light colored SUV. Three of them got out, while the driver stayed inside.

Two of the suspects ran up to the  building and started it on fire, while the other stood by as a lookout. All three of them then got back in the SUV and fled the scene with the driver.

All 11 victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries, according to Detroit police.

Detroit police officials on Tuesday released video showing the suspects running near the scene.

Officials have not released any descriptions of the suspects or a possible motive in the case.

Anyone who knows something about the arson is asked to call the Detroit Police Department’s Arson Unit at 313-596-2940 or Crimes Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
