ROSEVILLE, Mich. (WWJ) -- A crash along I-94 near Roseville Monday morning has left one person dead.
Michigan State Police tell WWJ it all unfolded shortly after 8 a.m. when a driver rear-ended another in the eastbound lanes of the freeway near 12 Mile Road, pushing both vehicles into the median.
Authorities say the driver who rear-ended the other vehicle was at-fault, with speeding a likely factor in the crash.
The at-fault driver was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to police. Their vehicle rolled multiple times and they were ejected from the vehicle, and pronounced dead at the scene.
The other driver sustained minor injuries and was privately taken to a hospital to be checked out.
Police did not release any information about either driver, include age, gender or hometown.
Michigan State Police are still investigating what may have led to the crash.
