(WWJ) – Hundreds of thousands of Metro Detroiters have been left in the dark at one point or another in recent months as severe weather pummeled the area.

In the wake of the storms, DTE Energy has been facing public backlash. Now a new report from The Detroit News reveals DTE has spent more than $30 million on political lobbying in the last decade.

While that's not illegal, WWJ's Zach Clark learns on a new Daily J podcast that some in the community think the public is getting the short end of the stick.
