DETROIT (WWJ) -- Fans of Eminem who went to the grand opening of his new walk-up eatery in Detroit on Wednesday got a huge surprise.
The Detroit rapper was found taking orders at the window of his new restaurant “Mom’s Spaghetti,” which is located inside Union Assembly on Woodward Avenue.

A line stretched for blocks, running all the way to the Fox Theatre and the Fillmore Detroit, with some diehard fans -- or should we say ‘Stans’ -- coming from as far away at New York.
Still, some may not have been quite as shocked to see The Real Slim Shady appear at the takeout window, as he has hosted a few “Mom’s Spaghetti” pop-ups in the past.

To create the restaurant — which, of course, gets its name from a lyric in the rapper’s 2002 hit song “Lose Yourself” — Eminem partnered with metro Detroit restaurant group Union Joints, which helped him put on the previous Mom's Spaghetti pop-ups.
Mom’s Spaghetti is available with or without meatballs, and even has a vegan meatball option. Patrons can also grab a “s'ghetti sandwich” and some Eminem swag at an in-house shop.
