DETROIT (WWJ) – FBI officials in Detroit are working with authorities in West Michigan to find a mother of eight who has been missing for nearly three months.

Heather Mae Kelley of Portage – just south of Kalamazoo – has not been seen or heard from since Dec. 10, when she called her children around 10 p.m. that night.

FBI officials on Tuesday released photos of Kelley, asking for help from the public in finding her.

The FBI says there is evidence to suggest Kelley may have been murdered.

The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office said in December Kelley’s truck was found burned out in the nearby Comstock Township area the day after her disappearance with her blood and hair inside.

Family members have said Kelley's boyfriend is a person of interest. He was arrested four days after she disappeared and is in federal custody.

Kelley is described as approximately 5-foot-8, 125 lbs., with blonde hair and brown eyes, according to the FBI.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office at (269) 383-8748 or the Portage Department of Public Safety at (269) 329-4567. You may also contact the FBI's Detroit Field Office at 313-965-2323.
