
(WWJ) – Four years ago, before Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer even took office, she promised to “fix the damn roads” across the state. She called Michigan’s road problem an embarrassment and said driving in the state is “downright dangerous.”
While her promise to fix the roads is not a new one – it’s one we’ve heard before from many a politician and gubernatorial hopeful – Whitmer touted real progress this spring at the Mackinac Policy Conference.
