Have you seen Chertonia? 12-year-old girl missing in Detroit

DETRIOIT (WWJ) -- The public is being asked to keep an eye out for a missing child in Detroit.

Police said 12-year-old Chertonia Cox left her home in the 4000 block of Lillibridge without permission at 9:24 p.m. on Thursday, June 30, according to police, and she did not return.

Chertonia is described as a Black female, 4'5'' tall and weighing around 90 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black tank top and black shorts. She also has her black, white and gray backpack with her, according to police.

Anyone who has seen this missing juvenile, or who may know where she is, is asked to call the Detroit Police Department's 5th Precinct at 313-596-5501.
