DETROIT (WWJ) -- A freeway shooting in Detroit has left a 2-year-old boy dead.
Michigan State Police say the shooting took place around 9:45 p.m. on Thursday on south I-75 near McNichols.
A 9-year-old boy is also in serous condition. The victims were riding inside a pickup truck when shots were fired from another vehicle.
The driver pulled over and realized the kids were hit. Both were rushed to the hospital, where the toddler died.
Police are still searching for the vehicle involved in the shooting, which is described as a late-model, silver Chrysler 300 with no plate.
