Homicide investigation underway in Detroit after 2 men found shot to death in burning home

DETROIT (WWJ) -- Detroit Police Homicide detectives are investigating the deaths of two men found shot to death in a burning house on the city's east side.

At around 6 a.m. Tuesday, Detroit firefighters arrived on the scene on Frederick Street near Gratiot Avenue and found the first floor of the building on fire.

Authorities said while firefighter were battling the blaze, they found two men inside with multiple gunshot wounds.

The men were taken to Detroit Receiving Hospital where they were pronounced dead.

Further investigation revealed the house had been fire-bombed.
