(WWJ) Flood warnings have been issued across metro Detroit this morning following heavy storms on Wednesday, and it's causing major issues on the roads.
Freeway Flooding:
The Michigan Department of Transportation has been releasing freeway flooding information as it comes in, and warns drivers to avoid those areas and find alternative routes.
-EB 8 Mile at Woodward underpass is flooded
-EB M-8 (Davison) after I-75 is flooded
-NB M-39 at Ford Road is flooded
-SB I-75 at I-696 is flooded
-WB I-696 at Woodward is flooded
-SB M-10 at 10 Mile is flooded
-Both directions I-94 at I-696 are flooded
-Both directions I-94 after Michigan Ave are flooded
-WB I-94 near 8 mile and Vernor is flooded
-I-96 at Pinckney in Howell water is over the roadway

Road Closures:
Stretches of several freeways and main roads are completely closed this morning as MDOT deals with excessive water.
-WB Grand River closed between Golf Club and Fowler
-EB I-96 closed after Pinckney Road in Howell
-I-94 closed in both directions at Michigan Avenue in Dearborn
-WB I-94 past 8 Mile Road is closed in Wayne County
-I-94 closed in both directions at I-696
-SB M-39 (Southfield Freeway) closed at Ford Road in Dearborn
-NB M-39 (Southfield Freeway) closed at Warren in Detroit
-WB I-696 closed at Mound Road in Warren
-EB I-696 closed at Groesbeck in Warren
-Newburgh Rd between Amrhein and E/B Schoolcraft in Livonia
-Lakeshore Drive closed between Moross and Provencal in Grosse Pointe Farms
