(WWJ) Detroit Police are searching for a man and a woman wanted in a robbery on the city's west side.

According to investigators, the paid walked into a business in the 6400 block of Michigan Ave., near Livernois, at around 1 p.m. on Dec. 29, and asked to exchange a laptop computer.

When the exchange was denied, they asked to see a new laptop, and a store employee brought one out to show them.

The employee, a 47-year-old man, then put the new laptop back behind the counter, but the man reached over and grabbed it, police said.

When the man began to walk out of the store without paying for the new laptop, the employee tried to stop him, and it's alleged the woman tried to hit the victim with the old laptop.

Both suspects then fled the store, heading east on Michigan Ave. on foot.

They remained at large as of Monday, and police are hoping someone in the public can help identify them.

Suspect number one is described as a Black male, 6' to 6'2''tall and 150 to 170 lbs., with dark hair braided to the back and a lazy eye. He was wearing a red coat with a dark colored hood underneath, dark colored pants, black shoes and a black facemask.

Suspect number two is a Black female, 5’1” to 5’5'' and 130 to 150 lbs., with brown shoulder-length hair she wore pulled back in a ponytail. She was wearing a headband with the word ”JESUS” across the top, a navy blue jacket and black and white Adidas shoes, with a light blue and white medical face mask.

Anyone who with information is asked to call the Detroit Police Department’s Fourth Precinct Investigative Unit at 313-596-5440, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK UP (1-800-773-2587). As always, all those calling Crime Stoppers will remain 100% anonymous.
