(WWJ) A 25-year-old man from Pontiac is facing charges for allegedly trying to kill a man at an Auburn Hills gas station.

At around 3 p.m. Monday, Auburn Hills Police say Jimmy Lee Rolon fired multiple shots at the 36-year-old victim while he was sitting in his car at the Speedway on University Drive.

The man was shot several times, and was taken to a local hospital where he was treated for life-threatening injuries.

He survived, police said, has since been upgraded to stable condition.

No one else was hurt.

Rolon drove off in a gray sedan before police arrived, but was tracked down and arrested at his home the next day.

Police sad the two men do know each other and were in a dispute that's been ongoing for several months. Police did not say what the dispute was about.

Ron was arraigned Friday in 52/3 District Court in Rochester Hills on one count of assault with intent to commit murder, which carried a sentenced of up to life in prison, and one count of possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Bond was set at $500,000 cash, no 10%, and his next court date, a preliminary exam, was scheduled for Sept. 21.

Anyone who witnessed the shooting, or has additional information is asked to call the Auburn Hills Police Department at 248-370-9460.
