
DETROIT (WWJ) - Police are on the hunt for two suspects accused of committing an armed robbery in Detroit on Friday, one of which was wearing a holiday-inspired hoodie during the alleged incident that will hopefully make him easy identify.
The Detroit Police Department said two male suspects entered a Family Dollar on Friday, Jan. 6 just before 1 p.m. and grabbed multiple items as they shopped.
The pair then got into the checkout line as if they were going to make a purchase, police said, until they stepped out of line and attempted to leave the store without paying.
According to authorities, the situation escalated when an employees went to approach the two men.



One of the suspects pulled out a weapon, police alleged, and threatened them before running out of the store.
Authorities described the armed suspect as a male, last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a “Santa Claus” face on the front, red jogging pants, and white shoes.
The second suspect was said by police to be a male, last seen wearing a black winter coat with the hood up, black skull cap, black pants and black shoes.
