
GROVELAND TOWNSHIP (WWJ) A fatal crash that killed a bicyclist in northern Oakland County is under investigation.
Michigan State Police said a woman, 53, driving a Jeep Wrangler, was traveling east on Grange Hall Road and turned onto northbound Ortonville Road, around 10:20 a.m. Saturday in Groveland Township.
While making the turn, a man on a bicycle, 64, was traveling west. The woman hit the man at “low speed,” according to State Police.
The man fell off the bike and hit his head on the pavement, State Police said. He was rushed to a local hospital and pronounced dead.
Troopers are trying to determine who had the right of way. Alcohol and drugs are not believed to be factors.
