ROCHESTER HILLS (WWJ) -- A 27-year-old man has been arrested on sexual assault charges after authorities say he rubbed himself against employees at a beauty supply store in Rochester Hills.
Dante Fermin Colon, of Rochester Hills, was arraigned Wednesday on three counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct in connection with the alleged incident last month, involving three victims.
According to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office, Colon at the store, in the 2800 block of S. Rochester Rd. the afternoon of Sept. 22, when he asked for assistance with some men's cologne.
On separate occasions involving three different female store employees, investigators say Colon expressed interest in a fragrance that was on the bottom shelf of the showcase. As the employee reached for the item, it's alleged that Colon moved close behind the employee and rubbed himself against her.
Each woman noticed Colon was sexually aroused, according to the sheriff's office.
In one instance, investigators say Colon touched the employee six or seven times.
The sheriff’s office was notified after one of the employees mentioned her encounter with Colon to the others. When it was learned that all three employees had a similar experience with the suspect, they released that the touching was not accidental.
The employees were able to get Colon's license plate number before he left the parking lot.
He was arrested Wednesday by the Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Apprehension Team, and lodged in the Oakland County Jail.
Colon was ordered held on a $10,000 cash or surety bond with the condition that he wear an electronic tether if he is released.
