Detroit police ID person of interest after man shot to death on west side Sunday morning

DETROIT (WWJ) – A man has died after a shooting on Detroit’s west side Sunday morning.

Detroit police officials tell WWJ just before 9 a.m. a man was found with multiple gunshot wounds on Montrose Street, near Greenfield and I-96.

Authorities have not yet identified the man, and no age was available. Police only describe the victim as a Black male.

Officials said police are investigating a person of interest in the case, but it was not clear if anyone was in custody.

No information regarding the person of interest, including age or description, was immediately released.

Authorities are asking anyone who may know something about the shooting to call Detroit police, as the investigation continues.
