(WWJ-DETROIT) A man is recovering after he was struck by an unknown driver on I-94 in Detroit.
Michigan State Police say troopers were dispatched to I-94 near Lucky Place Saturday at 10:50 a.m. for a pedestrian crash.
The investigation revealed the victim was trying to retrieve debris along the right median wall that had fallen off the back of his truck. He was standing beside the driver’s door, on the shoulder of the road when the crash occurred.
An “unknown” black Escalade reportedly “driving recklessly” crashed into the driver’s side of the truck and struck the victim.
He was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
