(WWJ) -- A man who was wanted for a double murder in Pontiac earlier this month has been arrested in Texas.
The three-week search for Torris Neal Green of Pontiac came to an end Tuesday when U.S. Marshals arrested him in the Dallas suburb of Garland, Texas.
Green is looking at two counts each of open murder, possession of a firearm while in the commission of a felony and being a felon in possession of a firearm in connection with the deaths of Stefon Crow and Kyle Milton.
Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a home in the 600 block of Johnson Avenue around 10 p.m. on Nov. 4 on the report of multiple shots fired and a woman screaming.
When deputies arrived, they found Milton, 30, lying in the front yard with his shirt covered in blood. His breathing was very shallow.
There was a trail of blood running from the back door of the house to a nearby vehicle and then to the area where Milton was lying, police said. He died a short time later.
Deputies found the 23-year-old Crow’s body inside the home, near the living room, with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The woman who was heard screaming was also found in the home, but she was not injured, according to police.
The sheriff’s office says Green has prior convictions for assault, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of marijuana and intent to deliver a controlled substance.
Authorities have not released a motive in the shooting.
