(WWJ) Michigan Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib is being taken to task after she appeared without a face mask at a wedding in metro Detroit.

Seen in cell phone video initially shared on Instagram, a maskless, dancing Tlaib attended a packed reception in Dearborn over the weekend.

The wedding was held the same day that Tlaib, a Democrat representing the 13th District of Michigan, criticized Republican Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky for telling Americans not to follow the updated U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines urging the wearing of masks indoors in high or substantial transmission areas — which currently includes Wayne County. Paul took to Twitter to criticize Tlaib.

In response, the congresswoman posted a map of Kentucky, marking its high number of COVID cases, county by county.

"The KY Senator is throwing a tantrum as his state is being swallowed whole by this virus, again," Tlaib wrote. "People are getting sick and dying 98 counties in Kentucky have a high incidence rate of COVID-19. He needs to put politics aside, and put people first. Start resisting the virus."

Reacting to the video, some called Tlaib a hypocrite, while others said it's a matter of choice.
