DETROIT (WWJ) -- A suspect was arrested and more than a pound of crystal meth and cocaine were seized in a recent narcotics investigation conducted in Detroit.
According to a Twitter update from Michigan State Police, state troopers executed an operation under the County of Macomb Enforcement Team (COMET) - Criminal Interdiction Unit (CIU) that resulted in the seizure of a pound of crystal methamphetamine and twenty-four grams of cocaine.
During the raid, the suspect tried to allude state troopers and attempted to enter several homes. That person is now in custody.
The approximate street value of the recovered drugs is $12,000.
Per MSP, the investigation was funded by a Byrne Justice Assistance Grant awarded by the Bureau of Justice Assistance under the Department of Justice.
