Fraud? Not so fast: Michigan Senate Oversight Committee releases report on 2020 election

LANSING (WWJ) -- A State Senate Oversight Committee held hours of testimony on the 2020 November election and has now released its report.

Chairman of the Oversight Committee, Republican Senator Ed McBroom, says he's confident in asserting that the results of the November 2020 General Election in Michigan were accurately represented by the certified and audited results.

"The Committee found no evidence of widespread or systemic fraud in Michigan's prosecution of the 2020 election," the report reads.

McBroom says if genuine issues arise from continued investigation, he will not hesitate to ask the committee to consider recommend an audit or amending this report in the future.

The committee began its investigation into allegations of fraud and security failures days after the November election, in which Democrat Joe Biden won Michigan by 154,000 votes.
