
Michigan State Police troopers are investigating an alleged shoot-out on a Detroit freeway at 7:30 p.m. Monday.
A woman told MSP she was on eastbound I-94 between Gratiot and Van Dyke when she saw two separate drivers opening fire at each other and heard the distinctive sound of gunfire. The woman sped away.
Based on the sound, the woman believed her vehicle had been hit.
Investigation revealed her vehicle was not damaged, but police shut down the freeway to check out the situation. Neither of the shooters reported the incident, leaving police trying to figure out who opened fire and why.
