PONTIAC (WWJ) -- Authorities are asking for the public's assistance locating a 37-year-old man who walked away from a downtown Pontiac hospital during an evaluation Sunday night.
According to police, Jacob Vincent-Perez Longoria, of Pontiac, left McLaren Oakland Hospital around 11 p.m.
At the time of his departure, he was wearing only a hospital gown and socks and carrying a blanket.
Hospital security told responding sheriff's deputies that Longoria exited the building and ran toward Huron St.
Witnesses reported seeing a man matching Longoria's description near Perry St. and Fairgrove St. -- northeast of the Woodward Loop -- just before midnight. He has not been seen since.
Deputies spent three hours canvassing the area Sunday night, aided by two K9 units and a drone.
Monday morning, the Oakland County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue Team set out to continue the search.
Longoria is five feet, 7 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds. He is dressed in a gray hospital gown.
Anyone who may have seen Longoria walking in the area, or who may have taken him in, should call 911 immediately.
