WYOMING, Mich. (WWJ) -- Police in West Michigan say two young boys from the Grand Rapids area have been found safe after an Endangered Missing Alert was issued Tuesday morning.
The Michigan State Police Sixth District said around 10 a.m. Tuesday that the Wyoming Police Department was asking for help in locating Adonis and Amir Ezell, ages 1 and 4.
The brothers had last been seen on foot in the 2600 block of Burlingame Ave. SW in Wyoming, which is located south of Grand Rapids in Kent County.
In a Tuesday afternoon update, officials said the boys had been found safe. It was not immediately clear where they were found.
Police said earlier in the day the children were taken from their home by their biological father, Jacobus Ezell, who reportedly lives with mental illness.

Officials did not immediately say whether Ezell had been taken into custody.
