DETROIT (WWJ) -- A winter storm that brought four to seven inches of snow to Metro Detroit on Wednesday isn't quite over yet.
Detroiters were able to have a break from the snow overnight, but AccuWeather forecasters said flurries are expected to make a return throughout the day Thursday to accumulate another inch or two of snow.
AccuWeather meteorologist Dean DeVore said the second day of this "elongated storm" will bring snow back to the area, moving from the south into the northern part of Metro Detroit.
Areas south of I-94 can expect to see another inch or two of snow.
The roads will be slippery while the snow is falling throughout the day, and authorities are urging those to drive with caution.
DeVore said temperatures will stay stagnant in the teens and low 20s making Thursday a very cold and breezy day with real feel temps in the single digits.
Thursday night is forecasted to be dry and bringing an end to this two-day storm with snow totals coming in anywhere between 8 to 12 inches.
According to the National Weather Service, the wind chill in the evening will dip into the negatives.
As for the weekend, DeVore said it will be partly to mostly sunny with cold temps near the 20s on Saturday. Sunday is forecasted to reach into the upper 20s with mainly cloudy skies and will stay that way into Monday.
