PONTIAC (WWJ) – The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office suspects drunk driving in a crash that killed a motorcyclist Sunday night in Pontiac.

The sheriff’s office says 24-year-old Wyatt Streetman was killed by a man who was likely driving drunk shortly before 10 p.m.

Streetman was driving his motorcycle northbound on Woodward Avenue near Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard when a 2005 Cadillac CTS turned in front of him.

The sheriff’s office says Streetman’s motorcycle slammed into the car.

While Streetman was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, he was taken to a hospital, where he died a short time later.

The driver of the Cadillac, a 63-year-old Pontiac man, was not injured in the crash.

He was arrested at the scene for operating while intoxicated. A blood sample was taken from the driver and the results are pending.

The man, whose name has not been released, pending charges, is being held in the Oakland County Jail.

Investigators from the Sheriff's Office Crash Reconstruction Unit are handling the case.
