(WWJ) Hundreds of Michigan State University students gathered at the State Capitol this afternoon participating in a sit-in protest and demanding that lawmakers take action on gun violence in the wake of Monday night's mass on the East Lansing campus.

Less than 48 hours after three of their classmates were shot to death and five more were critically wounded, MSU students took the Capitol steps to demand change.

"I don't want your promises of action, I want the action and I want the action now," one emotional speaker told the crowd.

On a new episode of The Daily J podcast, WWJ's Zach Clark looks at what form that action might take, and how quickly change could arrive.
