(WWJ) -- There’s a nationwide recall involving more than two dozen different muffin products.
State agriculture officials say the products from Give and Go Prepared Foods Corp. could be contaminated with listeria.
They were sold under various brands and at a number of stores, including 7-Eleven and Walmart.
“We became aware of this issue as part of our environmental monitoring program,” Give and Go said in a statement. “To date, we have received no reports of illness related to this issue and are taking this action out of an abundance of caution.”
Some of the products listed in the recall include 7-Eleven Selects Chocolate Chip 3-pack Mini Muffins, as well as Blueberry Streusel/Strawberry Streusel Mini Muffins, and various products from Uncle Wally's, The Worthy Crumb and Freshness Guaranteed.

The FDA’s website notes that, “Listeria can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.”
Symptoms can include high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea. Listeria infection can also cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.
If you have purchased any of these muffins, throw them away or return them to the store of purchase for a full refund. Consumers with questions can call Give and Go at 844-366-1171.
