
OTTAWA COUNTY (WWJ) - Detectives are working to determine how a deceased man's body came to be in a wood area in West Michigan after it was found on Thursday night.
The Ottawa County Sheriff's office said a deputy made the discovery around 7 p.m. on August 10 in the woods in the 14800 block of Stanton Street and Winterberry Drive in Port Sheldon Township.
So far, the body has not been identified and was only described as that of a male.
Detectives are actively investigating and said there is no danger to the public.
The sheriff's office is turning to residents for any information that may help investigators.
