(WWJ) The Oakland County Sheriff's Office is hoping that someone will call in a tip to help bring a missing teen safely home.
Officials said Friday they are searching for 14-year-old Jada Tillman, who apparently ran away this week.
Tillman was last seen at her aunt's home in the 200 block of S. Shirley Avenue in Pontiac, where she was supposed to be spending the night on Thursday.
At around 5 a.m. Friday, the aunt went to check on the girl and she wasn't there.
The aunt checked the video surveillance camera and saw her niece leave the house and walk to the roadway and out of sight.
A ping performed on the teen's cell phone was unsuccessful, the sheriff's office said.
Tillman lives in the 400 block of Nebraska Avenue in Pontiac. It is unknown on clothing she was wearing at the time and she did have on her backpack.
She has brown eyes, is 5’8” tall and weighs approximately 135 lbs.
As the investigation continues, the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information about this missing teen to call them at 248-858-4911.
