ROMULUS (WWJ) -- A suspect is in custody in connection with what police say was a freeway shooting in Romulus, Wednesday morning.
According to Michigan State Police, a 28-year-old mam from Delta, Ohio, allegedly opened fire on another driver in a "road rage" incident along I-275 near Sibley Road, at around 7:25 a.m.
MSP troopers responded to a parking lot in Romulus, where Romulus Police officers already had the suspect in custody.
The victim, who was uninjured, was also in the parking lot.
Troopers recovered a pistol found in the suspect's vehicle and he was taken to jail to await expected charged by the prosecutor's office. His name was not immediately released.
Investigators found that the victim's car had some bullet holes, but no one was injured in the shooting.
The freeway was closed by MSP for an evidence sweep.
Other than saying it was believed to be road rage, police did not release any details about what led to the shooting.
