Pedestrian hit and killed on 8 Mile in Warren, leaving road closed for several hours

WARREN (WWJ) -- An investigation is underway after a car struck and killed a pedestrian on 8 Mile Road early Sunday morning.

Police officials tell WWJ a pedestrian was hit and killed along 8 Mile, just west of Mac Arthur, between Groesbeck and Van Dyke.

The crash left 8 Mile closed for several hours, but it has since reopened.

Authorities have not released many details about the incident, including the victim’s identity or the type of car involved in the crash.

It was not clear what led up to the crash or whether the car stopped at the scene or if police had any suspects.
