EAST LANSING (WWJ) – Police are looking for a suspect in connection with a possible attempted kidnapping on the campus of Michigan State University last month.
A female student was walking back to her dorm around midnight on Saturday, Feb. 11 when she was grabbed from behind in front of McDonel Hall on Shaw Lane, according to Michigan State Police.
The suspect physically assaulted the victim, leading her to believe he was trying to kidnap her, MSP officials said.
The victim was ultimately able to fight off the suspect, who then fled the scene on foot.
The suspect is believed to be a white male, but police have not provided any other description of the suspect.
Authorities are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or knows something about it to call the MSP Lansing Post at 517-322-1907.
