Police looking for gunman who fled in dark Chrysler minivan after shooting in Detroit

DETROIT (WWJ) -- Detroit Police are asking for tips from the public as they search for a suspect in a nonfatal shooting in the city last month.

According to investigators, at 4:20 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 17, the victim — a 46-year-old man — entered the rear of a location in the 6100 block of Charles.

That's when the suspect approached on foot and fired shots, wounding the victim.

The suspect then fled in a dark colored Chrysler mini-van with a broken rear windshield wiper, driven by an unknown driver, police said.

The victim was treated for his injuries at a local hospital and has since been released.

More than two weeks later, the gunman remains as large.

On Wednesday, police released photos and video of the suspect, hoping that someone in the public may know who he is.
