DETROIT (WWJ) -- The Detroit Police Department is asking for tips from the public in the case of a missing teenage girl.
Charla Jackson, 16, was last seen at her home in the 16100 block of Monte Vista, near Puritan and the Lodge Freeway, on Thursday, July 21.
The teen's mother noticed her daughter was gone at around 6 p.m. that evening, police said.
Jackson is described as a Black female, 5'5'' tall and weighing around 150 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black tank top, black jeans and black gym shoes.
Police said the teen's hair was braided in a mohawk style, with afro puffs, and both sides of her head are shaved.
