When Detroit resident India Gardner came home Saturday from her job at Chrysler, she discovered that she had been the victim of porch pirates. Now, when you think porch pirate, you think someone who steals packages off the porch while the home owner is away.
But in this case, the criminals took it to a whole new level. They stole the ENTIRE PORCH!! Yes, you read that correctly, the whole porch. The thieves stole the steps, the rail and the landing of the porch.
"I didn't know I would be buying a porch you know,' the homeowner said in a video about the incident. 'It's funny but it's not lol. I'm laughing but I'm pissed lol.'
So, who did it ...and why?Gardner said she also asked her neighbors if they'd seen who snatched her porch, but she wasn't able to get any description.
Gardner started a GoFundMe in order to replace the stolen porch.
'From experience I believe this porch will be around $1,000-1200 to replace,' she wrote.
