(WWJ) -- Oakland County's Prosecutor is addressing rumors about accused Oxford High School shooter Ethan Crumbley and his current mental state.

A Facebook post from Karen McDonald states the county prosecutor’s office has become aware of posts of social media claiming Crumbley has been deemed incompetent to stand trial.

McDonald says this is “absolutely untrue” and asks that people “refrain from sharing inaccurate information.”

Ethan Crumbley faces 24 charges for the shooting on Nov. 30 at Oxford High School, which left four students dead and several others wounded.

Among the charges against the 15-year-old are four counts of first-degree murder, and one count of terrorism causing death.

Crumbley is currently being held without bail.
