ANN ARBOR TWP. (WWJ) -- Two people were taken to a local hospital following a head-on crash along US-23 in Washtenaw County.
According to Michigan State Police, a preliminary investigation found that a driver was driving "recklessly" — weaving in an out of traffic on the southbound freeway near Huron Parkway just prior to the crash.
The driver lost control of the car, crossed the median and crashed head-on into another vehicle that was traveling northbound on US-23.
Both drivers suffered what police described as minor injuries. No one else was hurt in the wreck.
Northbound US-23 was closed for close to an hour following the incident, but has since reopened.
Expected charges against the responsible driver are pending.
