SOUTHFIELD (WWJ) -- The Sapphire Apartments in Southfield describes itself as "luxury" apartment building on its website, but residents are saying that's a long shot because for the past three weeks they've been without heat and hot water.

Residents said they called management numerous times but they only responded with emails stating the issue would be fixed soon.

The City of Southfield even issued a violation to The Sapphire.

Apartment officials responded and said they're repairing the heat and getting the hot water back on by installing a new boiler.

A spokesperson for the The Sapphire on North Park Drive said the
safety and well-being of residents is their top priority and apartment management is communicating with residents while making repairs.
