
DEARBORN, Mich. (WWJ) – The search is on for a driver accused of hitting a woman with her car during a road rage incident in Dearborn last week.
The incident unfolded around 2:30 p.m. on March 14 when a woman was reportedly hit by a blue sedan in the area of Schaefer and Butler, near Ford Motor Company Gate 9, according to Dearborn police.
The woman was injured but was listed in stable condition. Authorities did not specify her injuries.
Police officials said a preliminary investigation showed the suspect and victim had been involved in “a traffic altercation” near Schaefer and Michigan, and they both got out of their vehicles near Schaefer and Butler and an argument ensued.
The suspect, described as a woman in her 20s, got back in her car and drove into the victim, before fleeing the scene.
Police do not know the make or model of the suspect’s blue sedan.

“Road rage is a serious issue we face in today’s society and we need to hold those who engage in this type of behavior accountable for their actions,” Dearborn Police Chief Issa Shahin said.
Investigators say they’re following leads and working with regional partners to try to identify the suspect.
