ROMULUS (WWJ) -- Townhomes in Romulus went up in flames early Wednesday morning, just 24 hours after the residences caught fire the first time around.

WWJ's Charlie Langton reports that the fire broke out at around 5 a.m., but many residents were already gone after the first blaze on Tuesday -- so no injuries have been reported.

The vice president of the homeowner's association told FOX 2 Detroit that Tuesday's fire caused six of the units to suffer smoke damage and displaced 7 to 8 people.

This latest blaze damaged the roof and siding of the complex.

The cause of the fire is unknown and it's unclear if the two are connected.
