WAYNE COUNTY (WWJ) - Relatives of a missing Detroit woman gathered to share her story on the one year anniversary of her disappearance as they continued their search for information into her whereabouts.
A cash reward up to $4,500 has been offered by Crime Stoppers of Michigan with information in connection to 23-year-old Alasia Oshay Hill's disappearance which was reported by her mother on March 11, 2021 after last been seen at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit the day before.
Hill's most distinctive physical feature is an amputated right hand; her family said she was seeing her doctor for a follow-up to the procedure on Wednesday, March 10 before she disappeared.
She has not been seen or heard of since.
"She was funny, vibrant, very compassionate, loving, she showed a lot of interest in helping whoever she could when she could," her mother said. "She was very giving and she also was a loving mother."
Hill's mother said the amputation did bring mental and emotional challenges for her daughter but that the young woman "kept a positive attitude with anything and everything else."
According to family members, Hill was not physically fit when she went missing.
Relatives once again turned to the community with help in locating the young woman. She is described 5’4” tall and around 135 lbs., with a light brown complexion. She was last seen wearing a tan jogging outfit and beige, glittery Ugg boots.
Hill has an amputated right hand and a distinctive tattoo with the word "Kayden" on her forearm.
The family said Hill was often in the area of Linwood and Fullerton in Detroit.
It is noted that Hill's hairstyle may have changed since available photos were taken.

Hill's cousin was visibly upset as she spoke about the closeness between her and Hill and how they constantly kept in touch through texts and phone calls, which abruptly stopped after March 11, 2021.
"I haven't got that text, I haven't got that call," Hill's cousin said through tears. "If she called me at 2 or 3 in the morning, I would go out and get her."
Hill's cousin remained steadfast that there wasn't a day that would go by where the young mother wouldn't contact her children if she could.
"I just want to say, wherever she's at at, just give her back to us," her cousin pleaded. "It don't matter what it is or whatever the situation is, just give her back to us."
Anyone who has seen her, or who knows of her whereabouts, is asked to call the Detroit Police Department’s Sixth Precinct’s investigative Unit at 313-596-5640.
