
COMMERCE TWP. (WWJ) -- Has anyone seen Laken?
Oakland County Sheriff’s detectives is again asking for the public’s help to located a 15-year-old Commerce Township girl who has been missing for more than a week.
Laken Elezabeth Lewis has not been seen by her family since she left her home in the Stratford Villa mobile home park to go for a walk about 6:15 p.m. on Aug. 18. She was supposed to come home two hours later, but she never arrived.
The girl’s mother said the teen is never late without asking for permission and would have been in contact if there was a change in plans.
Officials said the teen's father lives in Grand Haven in west Michigan and told detectives he had not had contact with his daughter in several weeks.
Lewis is described as 5'7'' tall, weighs about 110 lbs., with long dark hair.
She was last seen wearing a light blue zip up jacket, shorts or multicolored pants and white Nike Air Force 1 shoes.
The family has not had any contact with the teen through social media, the OCSO Said, and detectives have received few tips as to her whereabouts.
