HAZEL PARK (WWJ) -- A man has been shot and killed Friday morning, outside LG Energy Solutions building in Hazel Park.
WWJ’s Mike Campbell reported from the scene, where he said a body was lying in the driveway of the business on Vance in the area of 10 Mile Rd. and Hayes.
People at businesses near LG Energy Solutions called into WWJ around saying the building was being evacuated.
“A big building, a big box building,” Campbell reported from the scene. “A lot of workers outside…”
A woman who identified herself as the victim’s sister said her brother was shot in the chest, but police have not confirmed those detaills.
“He has five daughters, five beautiful daughters that he’s leaving behind,” she told Campbell.
She said her brother was just 27 years old.
Many questions still remain, including a motive or the circumstances leading up to the shooting. The victim has not been publicly identified by police.
Police told WWJ a suspect is in custody.
