Suspects riding in minivan shoot on occupied vehicle in Northwest Detroit, police searching for tips

DETROIT (WWJ) - Police are on the hunt for suspects who allegedly fired shots at another vehicle while driving a minivan on the city's Northwest side late Thursday morning.

Detroit police with the 12th Precinct said the alleged aggravated assault occurred shortly before noon on Sept. 15 in the area of W. Seven Mile and Meyers.

According to authorities, the suspects produced a firearm and shot into an occupied vehicle -- police did not say if there were any injuries related to the incident.

Detectives working the case revealed the suspects were in a burgundy, newer model Chrysler Pacifica and photos of the vehicle were made available to the public as police search for tips.
