
RAY TOWNSHIP (WWJ) – Authorities are investigating after a small plane crash in northern Macomb County on Sunday.
The Macomb County Sheriff's Office says a small aircraft crashed from about 75 feet up while trying to take off on Sunday. The crash reportedly happened at the municipal airport near Indian Trail in the area of 27 Mile Road, according to a report from WXYZ in Detroit.
On Sunday, the sheriff's office says three people on board suffered severe injuries and burns. All of them were taken to hospital.
One dog was reported missing, the sheriff's office said.
On Monday, it was reported that two adults, who are from Chicago, have been released, while their niece is in stable condition.
The dog was also reported to be found uninjured around 3 a.m. on Monday.
It was not clear what type of aircraft crashed or what caused it to go down.
First responders were on the scene. All roads in the area are closed as crews work on the scene.
