FOWLERVILLE, Mich. (WWJ) -- It was a scare in the air for a pilot who managed to make an emergency landing in a field in Livingston County.
Michigan State Police say a 33-year-old man piloting the single-engine plane began experiencing engine failure around 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
He was able to make an emergency landing near Fowlerville and Layton roads, in Handy Township between Fowlerville and Howell.
MSP shared a photo of the aircraft on Twitter following the incident.
No other injuries have been reported and the plane didn’t appear to be damaged.
The Federal Aviation Administration is now investigating the situation.
